Leading Authority on Spiritual Emergency & Mindfulness

Catherine G Lucas is the author of four books on how to move successfully through crisis and harness the transformational power it holds. A former university lecturer, Catherine left her academic career behind to step into her soul’s deeper calling following a profound crisis of awakening. She set up the UK Spiritual Crisis Network, which is still going strong 15 years later, although she is no longer on the Board of Directors.

This year sees the 10th anniversary of the publication of her seminal text In Case of Spiritual Emergency: Moving Successfully Through Your Awakening. Her media appearances include BBC Radio 4 and TimeWarner TV and she regularly speaks internationally. More recently, Catherine has initiated the publication of the open letter, The Rebirth of People & Planet in a Time of Global Emergency, along with an accompanying petition to the UN. She is also the Founder of Co-Creating Our Future which delivers group programs as well as the highly acclaimed Birth the New Earth summit in 2021′. Her work has been described as visionary and pioneering.

Dr Kylie Harris

Research Psychologist, Writer & Activist

Kylie P. Harris, PhD, is an independent research psychologist, writer, and activist from Australia. She is an academic at the University of New England, and a research assistant for The Juice Media. Her doctoral thesis investigated the relationships between spiritual emergence(y), psychosis, and personality. She has presented her work at local and international conferences, and published book chapters and journal articles in peer reviewed journals. She is a founding board director of The Australian Centre for Consciousness Studies, a member of the Emergent Phenomenology Research Consortium, and an Ambassador for the WallOBooks and Great Life Choice programs.

Kylie works experientially and her research is guided by personal experience. She is interested in investigating the psychology of climate change and the global crisis; and shamanic and Indigenous perspectives towards healing and transformation. She also enjoys writing and presenting for the general population, including radio and podcast interviews for mainstream audiences.

Dr Mick Collins

Author, Visionary Activist, Transpersonal Occupational Therapist and Coach

Mick Collins, PhD, worked for over ten years as an occupational therapist in acute mental health settings, and in a specialist psychological therapies team. During this time he spent nine years training in Process Oriented Psychology. Mick also worked for ten years as a Lecturer and Director of Admissions within the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, University of East Anglia, Norwich, UK. Mick’s doctoral thesis (2012) focused on the process of renewal within experiences of spiritual emergency. His research explored how these deep transformative encounters are profoundly healing, outlining how they can inspire our individual and collective efforts to tackle the global crisis. Mick went through a process of spiritual emergency in 1986.

Since 1997 Mick has been publishing peer-reviewed articles and book chapters on eco-psycho-spiritual matters. His first book, The Unselfish Spirit won the 2014 Scientific and Medical Network book prize. His second book, The Visionary Spirit was described in an endorsement as a “transformational tour de force”. He was interviewed about his work at the 2015 International Hay Festival and also on Conscious TV. Mick retired from academia in 2015. He continues to assist individuals and groups in the exploration and engagement of deep transformative processes. He regularly speaks at conferences and on radio, and is currently finishing his third book.
